

The Globe Theater in South Bank, London was originally built by William Shakespeare acting company, The Chamberlain's Men back in 1599. The Globe Theater , burned to the ground in June 29, 1613. A second Globe Theater was built on June 1614, but closed in 1642. When the Globe was built only the Lord Chamberlain's Men acting troupe were remitted on stage. There were no acting roles represented by women. But in 1522, Anne Boleyn was the first women to preform on the Globe. A modern reconstruction of the Globe , "Shakespeare's Globe" opened in 1997.
